Oritani Bank Golf Classic to Benefit CFA

The Oritani Golf Classic to Benefit the Center for Food Action was a fabulous event! Golfers enjoyed a day of sun and fun while supporting CFA’s mission to help the poorest and most vulnerable members of our community who are struggling to make ends meet.

CFA would like to thank Oritani Bank and Oritani Bank Charitable Foundation for hosting last week’s Oritani Golf Classic held at the Edgewood Country Club in Rivervale, NJ.

The weak economy has had a particularly devastating effect on our poorest neighbors.  CFA has seen an 18% increase in the number of people coming to CFA for both our food and our homelessness prevention programs.  CFA is thankful for the undaunting support of Oritani Bank and Oritani Bank Charitable Foundation so that we can continue to provide our services.

Special thanks go to Kevin Lynch, Oritani Bank Chairman of the Board, President and CEO, for his vigorous efforts on behalf of those living in poverty. Also, our thanks go to Rosanne Buscemi, Oritani Bank Senior Vice President, and to the committee for making this golf outing both enjoyable and successful. Your support is deeply appreciated by CFA’s board members and staff and by the many people who will be helped as a result of the proceeds from today’s outing.
