  • Thank you to Central Unitarian Church for assembling over 1,000 weekend snack packs during your special day of community service and advocacy this Sun. morning, Sept 27, beginning at 10:30 am. The funding for the snack packs was raised at CUC's soup-and-sandwich lunches, organized by the Children and Youth Faith Development Committee. Thank YOU! ‪#‎SayNo2Hunger‬ ‪#‎EndHunger‬
  • An employee at the Hudson City Savings Bank (HCSB) read in the Record about CFA's dire need of food and asked to put a collection box in the lobby of HCSB's Paramus location. Denis Salamone, HCSB CEO, said WE CAN DO EVEN MORE and launched a food and monetary collection from their EMPLOYEES AND THE PUBLIC in the Bergen and Passaic County branches and Administrative offices through AUGUST 31st. Additionally, Hudson City Savings Bank will provide a can for can match of all food items collected during the campaign, and a dollar for dollar match of all monetary donations made by Hudson City employees. 
  • Thank you to the Rotary / Bergen Highlands / Ramsey Rotary Club for your generous donation of school supplies and for your ongoing dedication to helping local families in need. Parents are so grateful that their children will have the school supplies needed to start the year off right! 
  • Boy Scout Troops 49 & 369 hosted their annual food drive in Oakland NJ and collected 634 bags of assorted food items equaling approximately 9500 lbs. We thank Mr. Michael Kozak & Ms. Theresa Barry for their leadership
  • Thank you to the Central Unitarian Church in Paramus for replacing our worn out cloth food carts with durable pastic food carts. This will make it easier to move food donations from one location to another. 
  • Thank you to the William Froelich Foundation for their donation of $1,500 in support of CFA's Emergency Food Program.
  • February 1st was Souper Bowl Sunday for CFA.  Thank you for helping! Plant Church, St. Paul's R. C. Church, Coleman School, Ben Franklin School, Konica Minolta and Our Lady of Mercy.
  • The Mahwah Chamber of Commerce's Tom Eastwick donated $5,000 from the Eastwick Foundation
  • Dressbarn donated $3,005 as well as $495 in supermarket gift cards and 3 very large boxes of assorted food items Center for Food Action 
  • Thank to The Community Chest for your $1,000 donation of gift cards.
