On May 18, the federal House of Representatives narrowly defeated harmful legislation bill that would have cut food assistance for tens of thousands of New Jersey residents.

All but one of New Jersey’s federal representatives voted against the bill. (Rep. Tom MacArthur voted for the bill). A big thanks to all of our partners and advocates who helped make that happen. Your voice was heard!

We’re not out of the woods yet. House leaders are trying to post the “Farm Bill” for another vote, most likely near the end of June. So we need to keep sending messages, thanking of our delegation for opposing measures that will increase hunger in the Garden State and urging them to remain strong in their opposition.

Send your message now. It takes just a minute to be sure your voice is heard.
