The New Jersey Anti-Hunger Coalition is now Hunger Free New Jersey!

Our name now reflects the heart and soul of our mission and our vision – to work toward a time when every single New Jersey resident has enough healthy food to eat every single day.

Our new name is solutions-oriented. This will help focus decision-makers, the public and our partners on the many ways that we can reduce hunger in New Jersey.

Along with a new name comes a new look. We’ve revamped our website to make it easier for you to learn quickly about the most pressing hunger issues facing New Jersey, while finding facts, figures and other information that can help you in your efforts to combat hunger.

2018 has, so far, been a banner year. We gained passage of two key pieces of legislation that promises to address childhood hunger by increasing the number of kids who receive school breakfast and summer meals. We’ve achieved policy changes at the state level that will help to reduce hunger for all residents. And we’ve been able to so far protect SNAP (food stamps) against threatened cuts at the federal level.

This marks incredible progress in our quest to end hunger in New Jersey and in our ability to engage others in that journey.

We invite all of our partners to make a renewed commitment to work with us on initiatives that will further reduce hunger in New Jersey. One of the first things you can do is to engage with us on social media to help elevate these issues with both the public and decision-makers.

Invite them to engage with us on social media and sign up for our e-alerts. Working together, we will see the day when New Jersey truly is hunger free.
