What do you do when you receive a passive-aggressive gift, like a shady dagger? http://www.bravotv.com/the-daily-dish/what-jackie-goldschneider-did-with-jennifer-aydin-dagger-gift. Well if you are Jackie Goldschneider, from Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey, you use it to help neighbors in need.
“When it was given to me, I came home and said ‘what do I do with this gift that wasn’t very nice, that I didn’t want?’” Jackie said. “A few days later I realized that when the episode airs, I could sell it on eBay, and it’ll probably bring in a lot of money for a good cause. So I just held onto it for months, and that day I put it up on eBay, and I couldn’t believe what it sold for.”
Jackie’s Shady Dagger fetched $700.00 on eBay, a gift she in turn matched and donated to Center For Food Action (CFA), in Englewood, New Jersey. Jackie said she chose CFA because “as a mom, there is nothing worse than imagining my children being hungry and not be able to feed them. So, if I can help another mother feed her children, that is doing a great deed.”
“As a mom, I hope that my kids learn that not everyone is as fortunate as they are and that when you have, you have to give,” she said. “So that if you are ever in a situation where you need something, people will do that for you.”
“We appreciate Jackie’s generosity,” said CFA’s Executive Director, Patricia Espy. “This donation will support our work, providing emergency food, rental and utility assistance to our neighbors in Northern New Jersey.”
