– Center for Food Action Receives Donation from the New York Giants for COVID-19 Response Work

Funds will be used to nourish thousands of families and individuals in northern New Jersey.

Englewood, NJ (April 10, 2020) – Center for Food Action (CFA) is pleased to announce a charitable contribution from the New York Giants to help purchase and distribute food to communities impacted by job loss following the arrival of COVID-19.

“Support from partners like the New York Giants is critical during times like these,” said Patricia Espy, Executive Director of Center for Food Action. “This gift will allow us to distribute more food to more people at a time when it is needed most.”

Center for Food Action has seen a dramatic increase in food assistance requests as more residents are out of work as a result of businesses closing due to the Coronavirus.  As an essential business, Center for Food Action has implemented new appointment-only, drive-up distribution practices to adhere to social distancing policies.
