Center for Food Action’s work is dedicated to improving the lives of low-income individuals and families living in northern New Jersey.
CFA is happy to share with you that according to an independent audit of the Center for Food Action, 90 cents of every dollar CFA receives goes to providing critical assistance to those in our community who are living in poverty; the rest helps us keep our doors open.
Taking time to help our neighbors in need, everyday
Thank you for your support!
On Monday mornings, Cari went to school feeling a little hungry because full meals were limited when she didn't have access to the Federal School Meals Program. CFA is now sending a weekend snack pack home with Cari on Friday afternoons.
Anne is 94. She receives Social Security and has a small pension. She fell behind on her rent and was facing eviction. CFA paid her 1st month's rent so she could move into senior housing. CFA's case manager also helped with her Meal on Wheels application.
Richard, 52, has custody of his 14 yr old son. Richard had been in and out of the hospital due to an illness so bills were beginning to pile up. CFA paid two months worth of utility bills to prevent a shut-off and helped with emergency food.
