Summary: Mission-driven and experienced nonprofit business leader who successfully executes the strategic plan for CFA and empowers a high performing staff. Reporting to
and working in collaboration with the Board of Directors to establish goals, objectives, and operational plans to provide the most impact for CFA’s clients. Supervisor of the
budgetary and marketing efforts. A visionary leader who inspires a positive, trusted environment for all staff and volunteers. Overall responsibility for growing an
organization with a $10 million total operating costs that include food donations.
Position Responsibilities:
Governance: Contribute to the strategic plan and drive its implementation. Communicate effectively with the Board by providing ALL information necessary to be
informed and make informed decisions in a timely and accurate manner. Has a pulse on what events locally and nationally need to have CFA representation to increase brand
recognition. Attend all Board meetings, provide reports on the organization’s outcomes and updates on staff and provide effective conflict resolution if needed.
Fundraising: Actively engage in complex fiscal management with hands-on budgetary development and oversight; routinely report performance and financial
activities to the Board. Drive development and fundraising with others and leverage the Board as needed. Initiate, cultivate and extend relationships with the organization’s
portfolio of individual, foundation, and corporate sponsors. Assume responsibility for the fiscal integrity of the organization. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with
external resources to increase awareness about hunger, homelessness, and poverty within the community.
Program: Oversees the day-to-day operations of the organization and ensures successful long-term operations. Assures that CFA makes consistent and timely
progress in achieving its mission and targets innovative programmatic changes. Oversee the management of fundraising activities and work with appropriate committees to ensure the resources needed for current operations and future growth.
Public Relations: Effectively represent CFA and promote a positive organizational image. Design, implement and maintain an overall branding strategy and ensure it is
reflected in all brochures, media, and social media. Work with agencies, community groups, the Board, and through a network of social service providers.
Staff Leadership: Perform routine site visits to ensure the successful operations of all locations and is the champion for accountability amongst staff and volunteers. Organize,
motivate, and mentor multiple internal team leaders to strategically grow the organization’s impact, programs and team building capabilities. Continually foster a
culture that encourages collaborations between departments and recognizes positive and long-term contributions. Recruit, hire, evaluate, and release employees within Board established policies, job descriptions, and budget; maintain a climate which attracts and motivates top performers.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has direct or indirect supervisory responsibility for the entire organization of regular staff and volunteers.
